Jerry's digital nature photography workshops are tailored for the beginner through advanced level photographer, with an interest in thought provoking, and visually stimulating imagery with special consideration to conservation and the environment. Both in the field and the classroom, Jerry is a very experienced teacher and workshop leader.

With 7 books and 8 consecutive years as lead photographer for the popular and award winning Blue Ridge Mountains Scenic Calendar, Jerry has positioned himself as one of the top nature photographer in the southeastern and mid-Atlantic regions of the US. His photographs have been published in magazines, books, calendars, advertising and environmental conservation campaigns, and as artwork for major corporations around the world.

Springtime in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a wondrous event! The wild mountain streams are flowing at their fullest and beautifully adorned with multitudes of natve wildflowers. The diversity of plants in the Smokies is dazzling! Over 1500 species of flowering plants are found in the Park, more than in any other North American National Park. This workshop will focus on the flowers and the landscape that they thrive in. Jerry and Clay will teach professional field techniques for macro, wide angle closeup, microcosm compositions, and flowers as part of the landscape. Both Jerry and Clay work as Conservation and Environmental Photographers, they will discuss photographic opportunities in this field for todays nature photographer.

The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is one of the "must visit" locations in autumn for any outdoor or nature photographer. From the dramatic high peaks draped in reds, yellows, and orange to the intimate river and stream scenes adorned with blazing autumn foliage, there is never a lack of fall beauty to be captured with the camera. Jerry Greer and Richard Bernabe have a combined 35 years of photographing this National Park and will guide you to the best locations in the best light.
